Hundreds of documents that leaked from the Islamic State showed that most fighters of the terrorist organization who have gone to Syria or Libya to fight for jihad, actually those jihadist have no idea what they are fighting for. The number is growing on those who want in all ways to return to Europe, disappointed by what they saw.

Insight into documents had agency AP, in which the content analysis concluded that 70 percent of those who left Europe to fight for the Islamic State have only basic knowledge of Sharia, the agency marked as low, while 24 percent could say that a little better know that area, and only five percent perfectly know the area.

They go to a bloody war… and no one has clue why!

These data clearly indicate that those who go to Jihad are potential targets for recruitment, actually those that are less familiar with Islam, although they say go to fight on his behalf. On the other hand, the most difficult is to radicalize those who thoroughly know the religion and Sharia law.

This theory is supported by the testimony of those who went to the self-proclaimed caliphate, but quickly decided to flee.

“I realized that I was in the wrong place when they started to ask me questions like “when you die, who should be contacted””, said a 32-year-old man who claims he decided to go to Syria because there actually fighting against Bashar al-Assad.

Among those who might say that unconsciously gone to Syria without knowing where they were going and what awaits them there is Karim Mohammed Agaden Reach. Furious because in France it treated as a “dirty Arab”, as it claims, decided to go to Syria, but even there he hasn’t met a better reception. Jihadists in Syria felt it as a pariah, someone who has given up their of his faith.

After months of disappointment in Syria, he decided to return to France, where he was arrested in 2013. However, the French authorities failed to arrest him and his own brother, who is one of the organizers of the massacre in Paris, in which were killed 130 people.

“My religion has nothing to do with my departure. Islam used to drag me into the trap”, said Mohammed Agaden Reach on his trial.

Perhaps the best example that shows that European jihadists recruited in some way victims of their ignorance, exemplified by two Britons who were convicted of the departure to Syria, and that the departure was decided after the Internet ordered by the book “Quran for Beginners” and “Islam for Beginners”.

These examples, a former senior CIA officer to Business Insider explained as a need for belonging in a community and thrills.

“People who go to ISIS will not die as martyrs, they are criminals. They kill innocent people. Nothing in Islam, nothing in the world can justify the killing of innocent people”, said Takir Ramadan, a professor at the University “Oxford”.
